The First Ferrari Challenge CarJob Roles: Concept Gen, Director, Producer & Editor
Notes: This film celebrates the iconic history of the Ferrari Challenge and it's origin in the 348 Challenge car. The car section of the film was shot on location in one 24hr shoot, in the middle of winter, in an abandoned warehouse. As the car is not road legal, we needed to find a way to bring it to life and show movement, once I met with the screen suppliers I knew we could create something spectacular. |
Nottingham Trent University - ChinaJob Roles: Director, Producer & Editor
Notes: A film to promote Nottingham Trent University's art & design courses to the Chinese market. The film was shot over 3 days in Nottingham & London. The recurring lighting theme matches the branding of the University and is subtly woven into the scenes. The final shot at Wollaton Hall was actually shot in mild rain with a very dark and grey sky. |

MAN - EcoStyleJob Roles: Director & Editor
Notes: Shot across 4 days in Oman with a large local crew, this film was one of my greatest challenges. Wrangling the different interests of multiple stakeholders, challenging crew and locations, whilst making sure I got what I needed in the can, really tested me. I flew out on my own to handle the production and brought the footage back to edit and grade. A huge challenge but one that I'm proud to say I overcame and am more than happy with the results. |
Hillarys - Buying carpets made simple Job Roles: Director & Editor
Notes: Shot in one day with a cast of actors including 5 adults, 2 children and 1 dog. They say never work with children and animals . . . the dog was fantastic! This was the first film I'd directed using a 3-axis gimbal, the new technology added a slight delay to the day and created real challenge to make up the time on an already packed schedule. In the end the shoot was completed on time, of course! |

Student Life - NTUJob Roles: Concept Gen, Producer, Director & Editor
Nominated for a Royal Television Society Award Notes: The brief for this project was to advertise the non-academic side of life at Nottingham Trent University. The film needed to be real and non-sanitised but at the same time must feature all the campuses and comply with internal politics of the University. We filmed over 3 days with a custom made helmet rig using real students as the cast and the camera. Directing was tricky, using a remote viewfinder to follow and direct the action live. |
Summa F Series - Magic boxJob Roles: Concept Gen, Producer, Director & Editor
Nominated for a Royal Television Society Award Notes: The Summa F Series is an impressive machine, but doesn't look exciting. This film changes that by adding desirability, showing it to be magic. We shot the main promo in 1 day in a showroom, blacking out the area with drapes and using projectors to shine imagery onto the unit. We also shot 10 separate product films about each attachment for the machine. The unit costs £45,000 and the customer told us they sold two of them immediately after and credit the videos for that. |

Live Event - Microlise Transport ConferenceRoles - Producer, Organiser, VIdeo Production, Live Production Direct & Edit
Notes: Every year VPoint TV help Microlise put on the biggest transport conference in Europe. I act as the main point of contact for the client and organise the majority of the job producing videos for the event through to the live production on the day. We generally have around 8 different camera operators across the event, a 3 camera live edit and stream of the main theatre, a media studio for interviews with live edits and playback in the hall as well as various roving cameras too. It's a lot to make happen for a day but the challenge is brilliant. |
Company Film - AarsleffRoles - Director & Editor
Notes: Shot over a few months and various sites, this video was shot in tandem with a large, detail orientated product video. The film demonstrates the companies core values and their approach to their work. Working in varying conditions, sites and different levels of risk, we had to be adaptable, safe and creative. |
